I’m really happy the lichen metaphor resonated with you. It's amazing how lichens, a blend of algae and fungus, live in harmony as a single organism—neither dominating the other, but working together. They are truly among the most resilient life forms and play an important role in many ecosystems. There’s real strength in quietly staying steady, without making a fuss. Perhaps that’s the kind of resilience that truly counts.

this poem is so beautiful and i really liked the part about how lichen grows on empty stones even when things seem hard. it makes me wonder what kind of "new ways to hold on" you are finding these days?

Thank you for your kind words.

Lately, I’m holding on by carving out quiet moments each morning. I sit still and let my mind settle. Sometimes I read, then write a poem or the first lines of a story. Other times, I go back over poems or stories I’ve already written, shaping and refining them.

These small rituals help me find calm and keep going, even when things feel tough.
