One of the joys of no work, no reference points day to day for the nonsense inflicted on the world by politicians prosecuting their own twisted versions of tje way they want things to be, is that I stay news-lite. It is cuckoos, orioles and swallows for us today.
I try to stay new-lite. That usually works on days when a poem or story is playing in my head that I have to write down. We do find joy in the wildlife around our place too, and that's a wonderful distraction from the news.
